How Do I Get Variation Images in WooCommerce?

As a WooCommerce store owner, you may have noticed that when you add a product to your store, only a single image is uploaded by default. This can make your store look a bit boring and uninteresting, especially if all of your products have only one image each.

Fortunately, WooCommerce provides a way for you to add multiple images to your products, known as variation images. In this article, we’ll show you how to add variation images in WooCommerce.

First, you need to go to the product page where you want to add the variation images. On the product page, scroll down to the ‘Product Images’ section and click on the ‘Add product variation image’ button:

PRO TIP: If you are using the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress, variation images allow you to add unique images for each variation of a product. This can be useful for products that come in multiple colors or sizes.

To add variation images, first go to the product page and click on the ‘Add media’ button. Then, select the ‘Upload files’ tab and choose the image you want to upload. Once the image is uploaded, click on the ‘Insert into post’ button.

Next, go to the ‘Variations’ tab and select the variation you want to add an image for. In the ‘Variation image’ section, click on the ‘Add image’ button and select the image you just uploaded. Finally, click on the ‘Update’ button to save your changes.

This will open up the media uploader. You can either upload a new image from your computer, or select an existing image from your media library. Once you’ve selected the images you want to use, click on the ‘Add to product gallery’ button:

You’ll see that the images you’ve selected are now added to the product gallery. To add these images as variation images, simply select the checkbox next to each image and click on the ‘Add variation image’ button:

Now that you’ve added variation images to your product, visitors to your store will be able to see all of the images when they view the product page. This can help give them a better idea of what the product looks like and help them make a decision about whether or not they want to purchase it.
