Discounts are a great way to show your appreciation for your customers’ business. But how do you give a customer a discount in WooCommerce?
The first step is to go to the Orders page in your WooCommerce dashboard. From there, find the order you want to give a discount to and click on it.
Once you’re on the order page, look for the Billing section. In that section, you’ll see a field called “Discount”. Enter the amount you want to discount in that field and then click on the “Apply Discount” button.
Now, go to the Payment section and select the payment method that the customer used. If the customer paid with a credit card, you’ll see the option to “Capture Charge”.
Select that option and then enter the amount of the discount in the “Discount Amount” field. Finally, click on the “Capture Charge” button.
If the customer paid with PayPal, you’ll need to refund them manually through PayPal. To do that, log into your PayPal account and go to the “History” tab. Find the transaction for the order you’re giving a discount for and click on it.
On the next page, click on the “Issue a refund” button and enter the amount of the refund. Once you’ve done that, click on the “Issue Refund” button.
That’s it! You’ve successfully given your customer a discount in WooCommerce.
