If you’re a long-time Squarespace user, you may want to go back and view a previous version of your site. Maybe you want to see how your site looked before you made a certain change, or maybe you want to compare your current site to an older version.

Whatever the reason, it’s easy to view a previous version of your Squarespace site. Here’s how:

First, log in to your Squarespace account and go to the Dashboard. Then, click on the Settings icon in the left sidebar.

Next, click on the Advanced tab at the top of the page. Under the Versioning section, you’ll see a list of all the versions of your site that have been saved. To view a previous version, simply click on the date that corresponds to that version.

You can also restore a previous version of your site by clicking on the Restore button next to the desired version. This will replace your current site with the selected version. Be sure to do this with caution, as you cannot undo this action!

Conclusion:

To view a previous version of your Squarespace site, simply log in and go to the Settings page. Under the Versioning section, you’ll see a list of all saved versions of your site.

To view one of these versions, simply click on its corresponding date. You can also restore a previous version of your site by clicking on the Restore button next to that version; however, be aware that this cannot be undone.

PRO TIP: If you are considering reverting to a previous version of Squarespace, be aware that this may not be possible for all sites. In some cases, it may result in a loss of data or content.
