As a busy professional, you are always looking for ways to save time. Canva is a great way to create beautiful covers for your social media posts, blog articles, and more. But how do you highlight text in Canva covers?
There are two ways to highlight text in Canva covers. The first way is to use the built-in “Text” tool.
To use this tool, simply click on the “Text” icon in the left-hand sidebar. Then, click on the “Add Heading” or “Add Subheading” option.
This will open a new text box where you can enter your text. Once you have entered your text, you can then use the options in the top toolbar to format your text.
To highlight your text, simply click on the “B” icon. This will make your text bold. You can also click on the “I” icon to italicize your text or the “U” icon to underline your text.
The second way to highlight text in Canva covers is to use the built-in “Shape” tool. To use this tool, simply click on the “Shape” icon in the left-hand sidebar. Then, click on the “Rectangle” option.
This will open a new rectangle shape on your canvas. You can then use the options in the top toolbar to change the color of your rectangle shape. To do this, simply click on the “Fill” color swatch and then choose the color you want from the color palette.
Once you have selected your color, you can then add your text to the rectangle shape. To do this, simply click on the “Text” icon in the left-hand sidebar and then click on the “Add Heading” or “Add Subheading” option. This will open a new text box where you can enter your text.
Once you have entered your text, you can then use the options in the top toolbar to format your text. To highlight your text, simply click on the “B” icon.

1. Make sure you understand the terms of use for Canva Covers. Some covers may be copyrighted and you could be violating the law if you use them without permission.
2. Be careful not to overuse covers. If every piece of content you produce has a Canva Cover, it will start to look like spam.
3. Don’t use Canva Covers for sensitive or confidential information. Remember that anyone can view and download covers, so don’t put anything on a cover that you wouldn’t want to be made public.
So there are two ways that you can highlight using Canva covers – either by using te built-in “Text” tool or “Shape” tool.
