Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 8:39 pm

Jenkins is a popular open-source automation tool that enables developers to create, run, and monitor software projects. It is a popular choice for cloud-based deployments because of its ease of use, scalability, and flexibility.

PRO TIP: When installing Jenkins on Google Cloud, it is important to remember to properly secure the Jenkins instance. In particular, make sure to create a strong password for the Jenkins administrator account, and consider using a Google Cloud service account with appropriate permissions instead of a personal account.

To install Jenkins on Google Cloud, you will first need to create a Google Cloud Platform project. You can create a new project or use an existing project. Next, you will need to enable the Jenkins server plugin. To do this, open the Jenkins settings page and click the Plugins tab.

Under the Server plugin section, click the Enable button and enter the required information. Finally, you will need to configure Jenkins to use your project’s Google Cloud Platform credentials. To do this, open the Jenkins settings page and click the Credentials tab. Under the Credentials section, click the Add Credential button and enter the required information.
