When it comes to installing plugins in Illustrator, there are a few different ways to go about it. The first option is to go to the Plug-Ins panel and select the Add New Plug-In menu item.

From here, you can browse to the location of the plugin file and install it.

If you want to install a plugin automatically when you open Illustrator, you can use the Illustrator Application Folder option in the Preferences dialog box. This option allows you to specify a folder where the plugin files are located.

PRO TIP: Before installing any plugins, be sure to check with the software developer to ensure that the plugin is compatible with your version of Illustrator. Also, be sure to read any instructions or warnings that come with the plugin before proceeding with the installation.

Whenever you open Illustrator, the plugin files will be automatically loaded and the plugin will be activated.

The final option is to use the Plug-Ins Manager. This tool can be found in the Window menu and allows you to browse and install plugins from inside of Illustrator.

This is the preferred method if you want to keep your plugins organized.
