If you need to issue a partial refund to a customer, you can do so from the Orders tab in your Squarespace Commerce panel. Here’s how:
1. Log into your Squarespace account and go to the Home Menu. 2. Click Commerce, and then click Orders. 3. Find the order you need to refund, and click the order number.
4. Click Issue Refund. 5. Enter the amount you’d like to refund in the Refund Amount field, and then add a note explaining the refund in the Reason for Refund field (this will appear on the customer’s credit card statement). 6.
That’s it! The refund will be processed automatically, and you’ll see a confirmation message appear on the screen.
PRO TIP: If you issue a partial refund for an order on Squarespace, the remaining amount will be charged to the original form of payment. If you issued the partial refund using a credit or debit card, the card will be charged for the remaining amount. If you issued the partial refund using a gift card, the gift card will be charged for the remaining amount.
