How Do I Link a Button to a Section in Squarespace?

As a Squarespace user, you may have noticed that some templates have buttons that link to different sections on the same page. For example, the Button Block in the Montauk template has a “Services” button that links to the “Services” section.

If you’re using a different template, you may want to create a button that links to another section on your page. Here’s how to do it:

1. In the Page Editor, click the block where you want to add your button. Then, click the + Add Block icon.1. Click Add Block2. Click Button.2. Select Button3. Double click the newly created button. In the Link field, enter # followed by the name of the section you want to link to. For example, if you want to link to a section called “Journal”, you would enter #Journal in the Link field.3. Modify the content and insert a certain format4. Go to your desired section then click + add block.4. Go to your desired section then click add block5. Select Code.5. Select Code6. Insert the code format <p id=”Journal”></p>.6. Code the code format6. Click Done and hit Save.7. Click Done and Hit Save
