How Do I Link a Document in Wix?

There are two ways to link a document in Wix. The first is to use the Link tool, and the second is to use HTML code.

To link a document using the Link tool:

  1. In the Editor, click Add on the left side of the screen.
  2. Click More, and then click Link.
  3. In the pop-up box, click Upload File.
  4. Click Choose File, and then select the file you want to link.
  5. Click Open.
  6. Click Upload & Link.
PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with HTML code, we do not recommend trying to link a document in Wix. If you are comfortable working with code, please be aware that there are a few different ways to link a document. The best way to ensure that your document is linked correctly is to use the “Wix Code” method.

Your file will now be linked in your site. To view the file, click the link. To change the name of the link, hover over the link and click Edit.

To link a document using HTML code:

  1. In the Editor, click Add on the left side of the screen.
  2. Click More, and then click Code.
  3. In the pop-up box, click Enter Code.
  4. Paste this code into your site: <a href="URL OF DOCUMENT">LINK TEXT</a>
