PRO TIP: If you are using HostGator’s email service, you may be wondering how to link it to Outlook. While this may seem like a straightforward process, there are a few things you should know before proceeding.

First, HostGator’s email servers use a different protocol than Outlook. As such, you will need to configure Outlook to use the IMAP protocol in order to connect to your HostGator email account. Second, you will need to know your HostGator email account’s password in order to set up the connection.

Once you have these two pieces of information, you should be able to connect your HostGator email account to Outlook without any problems. However, if you have any trouble, we recommend contacting HostGator’s customer support team for assistance.
