How Do I Link to Another Page in Figma?

Linking to another page in Figma is a simple process that can be accomplished in just a few steps. First, open the file that you wish to link from in Figma.

Then, select the element on the page that you want to use as the link. With the element selected, click on the “Link” icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

In the “Link” dialogue box that appears, enter the URL of the page that you wish to link to in the “URL” field. Then, click on the “OK” button to save your changes.

That’s all there is to it! Now when someone clicks on the linked element, they will be taken to the specified page.

There are a few things to keep in mind when linking pages in Figma. First, make sure that the file you are linking to exists and is published. If it is not published, anyone who tries to view the linked file will receive a “File not found” error message.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to link to another page in Figma, be aware that there is currently a known issue with this feature. When you try to link to a page that doesn’t exist, the link will break and will not redirect to the intended page.

Secondly, be sure to use absolute URLs when linking to pages outside of your project. An absolute URL includes the full path to a page, including the https:// or http:// portion. Using relative URLs (ones that do not include https:// or http://) can cause links to break if someone views your project from a different location.
