While linking your WooCommerce store to Zapier can be helpful, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, because Zapier is a third-party service, it is possible that something could go wrong and break the connection between WooCommerce and Zapier. If this happens, you may need to reach out to Zapier’s customer support team for help.
Second, because Zapier allows you to automate tasks between different web applications, it is important to make sure that you understand how each application works before you set up any automation. Otherwise, you could end up with unwanted results. For instance, if you accidentally set up a zap that deletes customers from your WooCommerce store every time they are added to your MailChimp mailing list, that would obviously be undesirable!
So, if you do decide to link WooCommerce to Zapier, just be sure to proceed with caution and test
WooCommerce is a popular ecommerce platform that enables you to sell products and services online. Zapier is a tool that allows you to automate tasks between online applications. In this article, we’ll show you how to link WooCommerce to Zapier so you can start automating your ecommerce workflows.
Before we get started, you’ll need to have a WooCommerce account and a Zapier account. If you don’t have a Zapier account, you can sign up for a free trial here.
Once you have both accounts set up, head over to the WooCommerce website and log in to your account. Then, click on the “My Account” link in the top navigation bar.
On the My Account page, scroll down to the “Zapier” section and click on the “Connect with Zapier” button.
This will take you to the Zapier website where you’ll be prompted to log in to your Zapier account. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be asked to authorize WooCommerce to connect with Zapier. Click on the “Authorize” button to continue.
Now that WooCommerce is connected to Zapier, it’s time to start setting up some automations! There are a variety of different automations you can set up, but for this article we’ll focus on two of the most popular: sending new orders to a Slack channel and adding new customers to a Mailchimp mailing list.
To set up the first automation, head over to the Zapier website and click on the “Make a New Zap” button. Then, search for “WooCommerce” in the list of available apps and select it when it appears.
Next, choose “New Order” as your trigger event and click on the “Continue” button.
Now you’ll need to connect your WooCommerce account by clicking on the “Connect an Account” button and entering your WooCommerce API key. If you don’t know where to find your API key, head over to the WooCommerce website and log in to your account.
Then, click on the “My Account” link in the top navigation bar and scroll down to the “Zapier” section. Your API key will be listed there under the “Connect with Zapier” button.
Once you’ve entered your API key and clicked on the “Continue” button, Zapier will fetch all of your recent orders from WooCommerce so you can test the connection. Select an order from the list and click on the “Continue” button again.
Now it’s time to choose an action for your zap! For this example, we’ll choose Slack as our action app and then select “Send Message” as our action event. Click on the “Continue” button when you’re ready to proceed.
Next, connect your Slack account by clicking on the “Connect an Account” button and entering your Slack workspace URL and authentication token. If you don’t know where to find this information, head over to Slack and log in to your workspace.
Then, click on the “Apps & Integration” link in the left sidebar and search for “Zapier”. Click on the integration listing and then scroll down to find both your workspace URL and authentication token under the “Authentication Token” section. Copy these two pieces of information into Zapier and click on the “Continue” button when you’re done.
