How Do I Log Hours as a Freelancer on UpWork?

As a freelancer, you have the freedom to work from anywhere and log your hours however you see fit. However, when it comes to working with a client through UpWork, there are some guidelines you should follow in order to ensure that both you and the client are on the same page.

In order to log your hours as a freelancer on UpWork, simply go to the “My Jobs” tab and click on the job you’re working on. From there, you’ll see a “Log Hours” button on the right-hand side.

PRO TIP: If you are a freelancer working on Upwork, it is important to log your hours correctly in order to get paid correctly. Make sure to keep track of the time you spend working on each project, and be sure to start and stop the timer in Upwork when you begin and end your work. If you do not log your hours correctly, you may not get paid for all the work you do.

Click on that, and then enter in the amount of time you’ve worked and any relevant details. Once you’re done, just hit “Log Hours” again and your hours will be logged!

It’s important to be as accurate as possible when logging your hours, as this is how clients will be billed. If you round up or down, make sure to leave a note explaining why. For example, if you worked for 45 minutes but rounded up to an hour, just write “45 minutes” in the details section.

As long as you’re logging your hours accurately and keeping your clients updated, you shouldn’t have any problems!
