As a small business owner, you know that one of the most important things you can do is establish your brand. Your brand is what sets you apart from your competitors and tells your customers who you are, what you stand for, and what they can expect from your business.
One of the best ways to establish and maintain your brand is to create a brand board. A brand board is basically a visual representation of your brand that includes all of the important elements, such as your logo, color scheme, fonts, and any other images or patterns that are associated with your brand.
Creating a brand board with Canva is easy and only takes a few minutes. Here’s how:
1. Create a new Canva account or log in to an existing one. If you don’t already have a Canva account, you can create one for free. Just go to www.canva.com and click on the “Sign Up Free” button in the top-right corner of the screen.
If you already have a Canva account, just log in by entering your username and password in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. Click on the “Create a design” button. This will take you to the main Canva interface where you can choose from hundreds of different templates or start from scratch.
3. Choose a template or start from scratch. If you want to use a template, click on the “Templates” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then select the “Brand Board” template from the list of available options. If you want to start from scratch, select the “Blank” option from the list of templates.
4. Add your logo. The first thing you’ll want to do is add your logo to the brand board.
To do this, click on the “Uploads” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then click on the “Upload Your Own Images” button. This will open up a file explorer window where you can select your logo file from your computer.
5. Add your color scheme. Next, you’ll want to add your color scheme to the brand board. To do this, click on the “Elements” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then select either the “Color Palettes” or “Simple Colors” options from the list of available elements.
6. Add your fonts. Now it’s time to add your fonts to the brand board. To do this, click on the “Text” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then select either the “Headings” or “Body Text” options from the list of available text elements.

Finally, if there are any other images or patterns that are associated with your brand, such as an icon or pattern, you can add them to the brand board by clicking on t he “Uploads” tab in t he left-hand sidebar and then selecting t he “Upload Your Own Images” button .
