How Do I Make a Christmas Wreath in Photoshop?

Last updated on January 26, 2023 @ 1:19 pm

Making a Christmas wreath in Photoshop is a great way to add a festive touch to your photos and digital artwork. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a beautiful wreath using a variety of Photoshop’s drawing and selection tools.

First, open a new Photoshop document and create a new layer. Then, use the Ellipse Tool to draw a large circle in the center of the canvas.

Next, use the Rectangle Tool to draw a smaller rectangle inside the circle. With both shapes selected, go to Edit > Transform > Warp and use the options in the Warp dialog box to give the rectangle a curved shape.

Now we’ll start adding some greenery to the wreath. First, use the Pen Tool to draw a long, thin triangle shape.

Then, use the Rectangle Tool to draw another triangle next to it. Repeat this process until you’ve created a row of triangles. To give the greenery some dimension, select all of the triangle shapes and go to Edit > Transform > Warp and use the options in the Warp dialog box to give them a curved shape.

Next, we’ll add some holly leaves. Create a new layer and use the Pen Tool to draw two small oval shapes side by side.

Then, use the Rectangle Tool to draw another oval shape on top of them. With all three shapes selected, go to Edit > Transform > Warp and use the options in the Warp dialog box to give them a curved shape.

To finish off the wreath, add a bow at the top. Create a new layer and use the Rectangle Tool to draw two long, thin rectangles side by side.

Select both rectangles and go to Edit > Transform > Warp and use the options in the Warp dialog box
to give them a curved shape. Finally, add a ribbon by drawing another curved rectangle shape on top of the bow.

Your Christmas wreath is now complete!

PRO TIP: Please be aware that this tutorial is for Photoshop only. If you do not have Photoshop, there are many other ways to make a Christmas wreath. This tutorial is also not affiliated with Adobe in any way.
