Making a photo mosaic without Photoshop is easy if you have a few basic tools and a bit of patience. Here’s how to do it:

1. Choose a photo that you want to use as a mosaic background.

This can be a photo of a landscape, cityscape, or any other type of photo that you want to use as a background.

2. Open the photo in a photo editor, such as Photoshop or GIMP.

3. Select all of the pixels in the photo that you want to use as the background.

4. Once the photo is selected, use the selection tools to select the entire photo.

5. Go to Image > Adjustments > Levels.

6. Click the black slider to the right of the “Input Levels” box and set the level to -100.

This will darken the photo so that it can be used as a background.

PRO TIP: When creating a photo mosaic, it is important to use high-resolution images to avoid pixilation and poor image quality. Additionally, using Photoshop or another similar program will give you more control over the final product.

7. Click the white slider to the right of the “Output Levels” box and set the level to 100.

This will lighten the photo so that it can be used as a background.

8. Click OK to apply the adjustments and return to the photo editor.

9. Repeat steps 4-8 until you have used all of the pixels in the photo as a background.

10. Save the photo as a .

jpg file and then use a photo mosaic tool to combine the files into a mosaic.
