How Do I Make a Surreal Collage in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:38 am

To make a surreal collage in Photoshop, you’ll need to start with a base image. This can be a photo that you took yourself, or one that you found online. Once you have your base image, you’ll need to add some other images to create the surreal effect.

These images can be found online, or you can use your own photos. To add these images, you’ll need to use the Photoshop “Layer” tool. Once you have your layers set up, you’ll need to use the “Blend” tool to create the surreal effect.

To get started, open Photoshop and create a new project. Then, open your base image.

You can find this image by clicking on the “File” menu and then selecting “Open.” Once your base image is open, click on the “Layer” menu and select “New Layer.” A new layer will appear on top of your base image.

PRO TIP: This article contains instructions on how to create a surreal collage using Photoshop. Please be aware that some of the techniques described may result in unexpected or undesirable results. Use caution and consult with a professional graphic designer or artist before attempting any of the techniques described in this article.

Now, you’ll need to add your second image. To do this, click on the “File” menu and select “Open.”

Find the image that you want to use and click on it. Then, click on the “Layer” menu and select “New Layer.” Your second layer will appear on top of your first layer.

Now that you have two layers, you’ll need to use the “Blend” tool to create the surreal effect. To do this, click on the “Edit” menu and select “Transform.”

Then, select “Distort.” A grid will appear over your image. Use this grid to distort your second layer until it looks surreal.

Once you’re happy with how your collage looks, save it by clicking on the “File” menu and selecting “Save As.” Enter a name for your file and click on the “Save” button.
