Whatever your content may be, Canva can help you design and publish professional eBooks! In this article, we’ll show you how to make an eBook on Canva in just five easy steps.
1. Create a new Canva account
The first step is to create a new account on Canva. You can do this by going to Canva.com and clicking on the “Create a design” button in the top-right corner of the screen. Alternatively, you can sign up using your Google or Facebook account.
2. Choose a template
Once you’re inside Canva, take a look at the various eBook templates on offer.
There are templates for everything from cookbooks to children’s stories, so choose the one that best suits your content. If you can’t find a suitable template, don’t worry – you can always start from scratch by selecting the “Blank” template.
3. Add your cover
Your eBook’s cover is probably the most important part of the design, so make sure it’s eye-catching and relevant to your content.
If you’re using a template, simply click on the cover image and upload your own photo or graphic. If you’re starting from scratch, click on the “Add Photo” button in the toolbar and upload your image. You can also add text to your cover by clicking on the “Text” button and adding headlines or subtitles.
4. Design the interior pages
Once you’ve designed your cover, it’s time to start working on the interior pages of your eBook.
Again, if you’re using a template, simply click on each page and edit the text and images as necessary. If you’re starting from scratch, click on the “Add Page” button in the toolbar to add new pages to your design. You can also add multimedia elements such as videos or audio files by clicking on the “Media” button in the toolbar.
5. Publish and share
When you’re happy with your eBook design, it’s time to publish it!
Canva gives you two options: you can download your eBook as a PDF file or share it online using a unique URL. To download your eBook as a PDF, click on the “Download” button in the top-right corner of the screen and select “PDF.” To share your eBook online, click on the “Share” button and copy/paste the link into an email or social media post.
