As a web design professional, you may be called upon to create columnar text for web pages or other digital projects. Columns can add visual interest to a page and help to break up large blocks of text.

Canva is a user-friendly design platform that makes it easy to add columns to your text. In this article, we’ll show you how to create columns in Canva and style your text using HTML tags.

Canva offers a variety of templates that make it easy to create columnar text. To get started, log in to your account and click on the “Create a Design” button.

Then, select the “Use Custom Dimensions” option from the drop-down menu. Enter the width and height of your desired columnar text area in the pop-up window. For example, if you want three columns, you would enter a width of 3 and a height of 1.

PRO TIP: When creating columns in Canva, be sure to use the alignment tools to ensure that your text is properly aligned. Otherwise, your text may appear jumbled and difficult to read.

Once you have the dimensions set, click on the “Text” tab in the left-hand sidebar. Here, you can enter your columnar text.

To create additional columns, simply hit the “Enter” key after each line of text. You can also change the alignment of your text by clicking on the “A” icon in the toolbar and selecting from the left-, center-, or right-justify options.

If you want to style your text using HTML tags, simply select the text you want to style and click on the “” icon in the toolbar. This will open a pop-up window where you can enter your HTML code.

For example, if you want to make your text bold, you would enter BOLD TEXT. Once you’re finished adding HTML code, click on the “OK” button.

Columns are a great way to add visual interest to your web pages or digital projects. Canva makes it easy to create columns and style your text using HTML tags. With just a few clicks, you can have professional-looking results that will impress your clients or boss.
