One of the most common questions asked by Photoshop users is “How do I make leaves fall in Photoshop?” The answer is actually quite simple – all you need to do is use the layer styles options and apply a little bit of creativity. In this article, we’ll show you how to create a falling leaves effect in Photoshop.

To start, create a new Photoshop document and add a background layer. Next, create a new layer and add some leaves to it.

You can either use real leaves or create your own using the Pen Tool. Once you have your leaves, go to Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options and set the following options:

Blend Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100%
Fill Opacity: 100%

Next, go to the Effects tab and set the following options:

PRO TIP: Please be aware that the title of this article, ‘How Do I Make Leaves Fall in Photoshop?’ may be misleading. The article does not actually explain how to make leaves fall in Photoshop.

Drop Shadow
Inner Shadow
Outer Glow
Bevel and Emboss

Now that you have your layer style options set, all you need to do is add some motion to your leaves. To do this, go to Window > Animation and create a new frame.

In this frame, move your leaves around so that they appear to be falling. You can also add some wind by adding a directional blur. Once you’re happy with your animation, hit play and watch your leaves fall!
