How Do I Make My Site Title Bigger Squarespace?

As a webmaster, one of the most common questions I get is “How do I make my site title bigger Squarespace?” While the answer may seem like it should be obvious, there are actually a few different ways to do it, each with its own pros and cons.

    Option 1: Use the Default Theme

    The first and easiest way to make your site title bigger is to simply use the default theme. Most themes will have a large banner area at the top of the page where your site title will be displayed prominently.
    If you’re using a theme that doesn’t have a banner area, you can usually add one by editing the theme’s HTML code. Just look for the <head> section of the code and add a <div> tag with the desired dimensions. For example:

    Option 2: Use a Custom CSS Rule

    If you’re familiar with CSS, you can also create a custom rule to make your site title larger. Just add the following code to your CSS file:

    h1 {
      font-size: 36px;
    }

    This will make all <h1> tags on your site 36 pixels tall. If you want to Target just the site title, you can use a CSS selector like this:

    PRO TIP: The title tag is one of the most important elements of on-page SEO, and Squarespace does not make it easy to change the size of your site's title. If you are looking to make your site's title bigger in Squarespace, be aware that you may be sacrificing some SEO in the process.

    #logo h1 {
      font-size: 36px;
    }

    Option 3: Use an Image<

    Another option is to use an image instead of text for your site title. This has the advantage of being able to use any font or color you want, but it comes at the cost of increased page load time and decreased accessibility. If you go this route, be sure to include alt text so that visitors who are unable to see images will still know what your site is about.

    Option 4: Use Flash

    If you're looking for a really flashy way to make your site title stand out, you could try using Flash. This is generally not recommended, however, as it can be slow to load and is not accessible to visitors who do not have Flash installed on their computer.

    Option 5: Use JavaScript

    Finally, if you're comfortable with JavaScript, you could try using that to make your site title bigger. This approach has the same advantages and disadvantages as using Flash.
