How Do I Make My Weebly Site HTTPS?

Last updated on December 30, 2022 @ 7:18 am

Weebly is a popular site builder that allows users to create custom websites without having to write any code. One of the features that Weebly offers is the ability to add an SSL certificate to your site, which will enable HTTPS.

This is a great way to add security and privacy to your site, and it’s also required if you want to use certain features on your site, such as payment forms. In this article, we’ll show you how to add an SSL certificate to your Weebly site.

Step 1: Log in to your Weebly account and go to the Settings tab.

Step 2: Under the General section, click SSL Certificate.

Step 3: Select the Custom Certificate option.

Step 4: Enter the Certificate Authority (CA), which is the organization that issued your SSL certificate. You can find this information in the email that you received when you purchased your SSL certificate. If you’re using a self-signed certificate, you can leave this field blank.

Step 5: Enter the Certificate (CRT). This is the certificate that was provided to you when you purchased your SSL certificate.

Step 6: Enter the Private Key (KEY). This is the key that was provided to you when you purchased your SSL certificate.

PRO TIP: Weebly offers the ability to secure your site with an SSL Certificate. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when doing this:

1. Your site must be on a paid plan in order to add an SSL Certificate.

2. Once you add an SSL Certificate to your Weebly site, all pages will be served over HTTPS. This means that any links to HTTP pages will need to be updated to HTTPS.

3. Any embedded content on your site (such as images, videos, etc.) will also need to be served over HTTPS in order for it to display correctly on your site.

4. Be sure to test your site after adding the SSL Certificate to make sure everything is working as expected.

If you’re using a self-signed certificate, you can leave this field blank.

Step 7: Enter the Certificate Chain (CABUNDLE). This is the chain of certificates that was provided to you when you purchased your SSL certificate.

Step 8: Click Save. Your SSL certificate will now be active on your Weebly site.
