How Do I Make Printables on Canva?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 1:57 pm

Printables are a fantastic way to add a personal touch to your home décor, party planning, or even just to spruce up your office or workspace. But what exactly is a printable? A printable is simply a digital file that you can download and print at home (or at your local print shop).

Creating printables is easy with Canva. First, sign up for a free account with Canva.

Once you’re logged in, click on the “Create a design” button and select “Print” from the drop-down menu. You’ll be taken to our library of ready-to-use printables or you can start from scratch with a blank canvas.

If you want to use one of our templates, simply browse through the library and click on the design that catches your eye. Once you’ve selected a template, you can customize it to suit your needs.

Change the colors, add your own images or photos, and edit the text. When you’re happy with your design, click on the “Download” button and choose whether you want to download your printable as a PDF or an image file.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that printables created on Canva may not print correctly. If you are planning on printing your design, we recommend downloading and printing from a PDF.

If you want to start from scratch, select the “Blank canvas” option. You can then choose the size of your canvas – we have a range of standard print sizes or you can enter custom dimensions.

Once you’ve set the size of your canvas, start adding elements to your design. You can upload your own images or photos, or choose from over 1 million stock images. We also have a wide range of shapes, icons, and illustrations that you can add to your design.

When you’re happy with your design, click on the “Download” button and choose whether you want to download your printable as a PDF or an image file.

Creating printables with Canva is easy, quick and fun!
