How Do I Make Text Responsive in Wix?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:11 am

One of the most important aspects of responsive design is making sure that your text is legible and easy to read on all devices. This can be a challenge, as the size of text is often set in pixels, which don’t scale well on smaller screens.

The good news is that there are a few easy ways to make sure your text is responsive in Wix.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

First, you can use the built-in Wix Editor to create responsive text. Simply select the text element you want to make responsive and then click on the “responsive” icon in the top toolbar. This will open a menu where you can select the breakpoints you want to use for your text.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with coding or web development, we do not recommend trying to make text responsive in Wix. This can result in adversely affecting the website’s design and functionality.

Second, you can use CSS to create responsive text. CSS3 introduced a new property, called “media queries,” which allows you to change the style of your site based on different screen sizes. Using media queries, you can change the font-size of your text at different breakpoints.

Finally, you can use JavaScript to create responsive text. There are a few different ways to do this, but one popular method is to use the jQuery library. jQuery has a built-in function called “resize()” which allows you to change the size of your text based on the size of the browser window.

No matter which method you choose, making your text responsive is a critical part of creating a responsive website. By taking the time to make sure your text looks good on all devices, you’ll ensure that your site looks professional and is easy to read no matter where it’s being viewed.
