How Do I Make the Tools Bigger in Photoshop?

PRO TIP: If you are working in Photoshop and need to make your tools bigger, be aware that this can also make your image bigger. If you do not want to resize your image, make sure that you check the “constrain proportions” or “lock aspect ratio” option before resizing your tools.

There is one simple way to make the tools bigger in Photoshop. That is to change the size preferences of the tool icons.

To do this, first, open Photoshop.

Then go to Edit > Preferences > General in the top menu bar.

In the Preferences window that will appear, select “Interface” in the left menu. From there, change the “Size” option to “Large.” This will make all of the tools larger, but it will also make the interface elements like buttons and menus larger as well.

Once done, click on the “Ok” button.

To save the changes made, we need to refresh the Photoshop application. To do this, simply go to File > Exit to close the application.

Then go to the folder location of your Photoshop application, right-click on the Photoshop icon, and select “Open“.

Photoshop will now be reopened with larger interface elements.

No matter which method you use, making the tools bigger in Photoshop is easy and can be helpful if you’re having trouble seeing them. Give it a try next time you’re having trouble finding a particular tool!
