Assuming you have a WooCommerce store with products that need to be sorted, there are a few different ways you can go about managing product sorting options. Depending on your preference, you can use the default WordPress sorting options, or install a plugin to give you more control over how products are sorted.
The first thing you need to do is decide how you want your products to be sorted. This will depend on what type of products you are selling and how your customers are likely to search for them.
For example, if you sell clothes, you might want to allow customers to sort by size, color, or style. If you sell books, you might want to allow customers to sort by author, title, or genre. Once you know how you want your products to be sorted, you can start setting up your sorting options.
If you’re using the default WordPress sorting options, you can simply go to the Settings > Reading page and select the “Default sort order for products” option. You can then choose whether you want your products to be sorted by date, title, price, or menu order.
You can also choose whether you want ascending or descending order. Once you’ve made your selections, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.
If you want more control over how your products are sorted, you can install a plugin like WooCommerce Product Sorting. This plugin gives you a number of different options for sorting your products, including by popularity, rating, price, and more.
It also allows you to create custom product sorting rules and set up multiple sorting options for different pages on your site. To get started with this plugin, simply install and activate it on your WordPress site.
Once the plugin is activated, go to WooCommerce > Product Sorting from your WordPress dashboard. From here, you can choose which sorting options you want to enable on your site and where they should be displayed.
For example, you can choose to display sorting options in the main shop page, product category pages, and/or product tag pages. You can also choose whether or not to display a “Sort By” drop-down menu in the sidebar.
Once you’ve selected which sorting options you want to use on your site, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.
No matter what type of WooCommerce store you have, there’s a way for you to manage product sorting options. Whether you use the default WordPress options or install a plugin for more control, make sure to set up your product sorting options in a way that makes sense for your business and customers.
