How Do I Manually Fulfill Orders on Shopify?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:48 pm

When you first set up your Shopify store, you probably chose to have Shopify automatically fulfill your orders for you. This is the simplest way to run your business, and it’s what we recommend for most businesses. But there are some cases where you might want to manually fulfill orders.

For example, if you sell products that are made to order, or if you need to make special arrangements for shipping, you might need to manually fulfill orders. You might also need to manually fulfill orders if you use Shopify’s Order Printer app to print shipping labels.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when manually fulfilling orders on Shopify, you may accidentally oversell products. This can cause inventory problems and upset customers.

Whatever the reason, if you need to manually fulfill an order, here’s how you do it:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
  2. Click the order that you want to fulfill.
  3. From the Order details page, click Fulfill items.

If you’re using Order Printer:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
  2. Click the order that you want to fulfill.
  3. Click More actions > Create shipping label.

Your conclusion here!
