How Do I Manually Stitch Photos in Photoshop?

In order to stitch photos together in Photoshop, first, open all of the images that you want to use in Photoshop. Next, select all of the images in the Layers panel and click on Edit > Auto-Align Layers. In the Auto-Align Layers dialog box, choose the Projections option and click OK.

Now that the images are aligned, you need to select the layer of the image that you want to use as the base layer. The base layer is the layer that will show through in areas where the other images don’t overlap. To select the base layer, click on it in the Layers panel and then click on the “Create new fill or adjustment layer” icon at the bottom of the panel and choose Levels.

In the Levels dialog box, drag the black input slider to the right until it is just before where the histogram starts to increase. This will darken your image, but don’t worry, we’ll fix that in a minute. Click OK.

Next, hold down the Shift key and click on each of the other layers in turn in the Layers panel. This will select all of them except for the background layer.

Now click on Edit > Auto-Blend Layers. In the Auto-Blend Layers dialog box, choose Panorama from the drop-down menu and make sure that Seamless Tones and Colors is checked. Then click OK.

Photoshop will now blend all of your images together into a single panoramic image. If there are any areas where it doesn’t look quite right, you can go back and edit them manually. To do this, zoom in on an area that needs some work and then use the Clone Stamp tool to clone pixels from a nearby area onto the area that needs fixing.

When you’re happy with how your panorama looks, go to File > Save As and save it as a TIFF file. Now you have a panoramic image that you can print out or post online!
