How do I open a dispute on Fiverr?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:49 pm

If you have been dissatisified with a completed project or service on Fiverr, there are a few things you can do to open a dispute.

First, make sure you have all of the information you need to support your case. This includes the project or service you are disputing, the specific instructions the seller gave you, and any screenshots or videos you took during the transaction.

PRO TIP: If you are not happy with a Fiverr gig that you have received, you can open a dispute. This is done by going to the Resolution Center and selecting “Open a dispute.” Please note that once a dispute is opened, the seller has three days to respond. If the seller does not respond, the dispute will automatically be closed in your favor.

Next, follow the dispute process outlined on the Fiverr website. This includes first warning the seller about your dispute, then waiting 72 hours for a response, and finally filing a dispute if there is still no resolution.

If you are not satisfied with the resolution of your dispute, you can take your case to small claims court. However, this is a complex and time-consuming process, so it is typically only used in extreme cases.
