How Do I Paint My Skin in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:32 pm

This is a question that I get asked a lot, and it’s actually quite simple to do!

First, you’ll need to create a new layer. To do this, go to the ‘Layer’ menu at the top of the screen and select ‘New Layer’. A new layer will appear in your ‘Layers’ palette.

Now, select the ‘Brush Tool’ from the toolbar on the left hand side of the screen. Choose a soft, round brush and set your foreground color to white.

Begin painting over the area of skin that you want to lighten. You may need to use a small brush size and paint several times to get an even coverage.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that painting your skin in Photoshop may have unforeseen consequences. We recommend that you consult with a professional before undertaking this process.

Next, go to the ‘Image’ menu and select ‘Adjustments’. From here, select ‘Brightness/Contrast’. Turn up the brightness until you’re happy with the result, then click ‘OK’.

Finally, go to the ‘Layer’ menu once again and this time select ‘Layer Style’. Choose ‘Soft Light’ from the list of options and click ‘OK’.

Your skin should now look lighter and more even in tone!

Conclusion:

By following these simple steps, you can easily paint your skin in Photoshop! Just remember to create a new layer first, then use a soft brush to lighten the skin tone. You can also increase the brightness and contrast for an even more natural look.
