How Do I Photoshop a Video?

Photoshop is a widely used program for crafting layouts, graphics, logos, and photos. You can also use Photoshop to edit videos.

Video editing in Photoshop is done on a frame-by-frame basis. This means that you can take a video, say a clip from a movie, and edit it the same way you would edit a photo. You can remove objects from the video, change the color, add text, and more.

To edit a video in Photoshop, you first need to import the video into Photoshop. You can do this by going to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers. Once the video is imported, it will appear as a series of layers in the Layers panel.

PRO TIP: Warning:

Photoshop is not a video editing program and therefore cannot be used to edit videos. Any attempt to do so will likely result in a poor quality, distorted video.

To edit a specific frame, simply double-click on the layer for that frame in the Layers panel. This will open the frame in its own window where you can make your edits. Once you’re done editing, simply close the frame window and your changes will be saved.

Editing videos in Photoshop is a great way to create custom graphics or to simply remove unwanted objects from a video clip. Give it a try next time you need to edit a video!
