How Do I Pin a Header in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:52 am

Figma is a vector graphic design tool that is gaining popularity among web designers. One of the reasons for its popularity is its ease of use; even designers with no prior experience can learn how to use Figma quickly. Another reason for its popularity is its ability to create responsive designs. This means that a design created in Figma will look good on any screen size, from a small phone to a large desktop monitor.

One of the features that makes Figma so easy to use is the ability to pin a header. This means that when you scroll down, the header will stay at the top of the screen.

This is very useful if you have a lot of content on your page and you want visitors to be able to see the header without having to scroll back up to the top of the page.

PRO TIP: Please be advised that there is currently no way to pin a header in Figma. This is a known issue and our team is working on a fix. In the meantime, we recommend using the workaround of creating a floating frame.

To pin a header in Figma, simply click on the hamburger icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. This will open the Figma menu. From here, click on “File” and then “Preferences”. In the Preferences dialog box, select “General” from the left sidebar. Then, check the box next to “Pinned headers” and click “OK”.

Pinning a header in Figma is a quick and easy way to keep your header visible as you scroll down a page. This can be very useful if you have a lot of content on your page and you want visitors to be able to see the header without having to scroll back up to the top of the page.
