How Do I Preview in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:57 pm

When you are setting up a new WooCommerce store, one of the first things you will want to do is preview how it looks. By default, WooCommerce does not come with a built-in preview function, but there are a few ways you can achieve this.

One way to preview your WooCommerce store is to use the WordPress Customizer. To do this, go to Appearance > Customize in your WordPress dashboard. From here, you will be able to see a live preview of your site as you make changes to the various settings. This is a great way to get an idea of how your store will look without having to make any permanent changes.

Another way to preview your WooCommerce store is by installing the WooCommerce Customizer plugin.

This plugin adds a dedicated WooCommerce section to the WordPress Customizer, giving you more control over how your store looks. Once installed and activated, go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce in your WordPress dashboard to start using it.

If you want to get a really good idea of how your WooCommerce store will look and function, you can always create a test order. To do this, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced and select the “Enable Test Mode” option. Once enabled, you will be able to place test orders through your store without having to use real payment information.

Conclusion:

There are a few different ways that you can preview your WooCommerce store before going live. The WordPress Customizer is a great way to get an idea of how your store will look, and the WooCommerce Customizer plugin gives you even more control over the appearance of your store. If you want to see how your store works end-to-end, you can always create a test order.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with WooCommerce, we strongly recommend that you do not attempt to preview in WooCommerce. Doing so could cause serious problems with your site.
