Figma is a great tool for creating and collaborating on design projects. One of the features that makes Figma so powerful is the ability to create and share Styles.
Styles are a great way to keep your designs consistent, and they can be used to quickly change the appearance of an entire project.
If you’re new to Figma, or if you’re just looking for some tips on how to publish a Style, read on!
1. Create your Style
The first step is to create the Style that you want to publish. This can be done by selecting the object (or objects) that you want to include in the Style, and then clicking the “Create New Style” button in the Styles panel.
2. Give your Style a name and description
Once you’ve created your Style, you’ll need to give it a name and description. The name will be used internally by Figma, and it will be visible to anyone who has access to the file. The description is optional, but it can be helpful to include a brief explanation of what the Style is for.
3. Decide who can see your Style
Figma allows you to control who can see your Styles. By default, Styles are only visible to people who have access to the file. However, you can choose to make them visible to everyone in your organization, or you can make them public so that anyone can see them.
4. Publish your Style
Once you’ve decided who can see your Style, you’re ready to publish it! To do this, click the “Publish” button in the Styles panel. You’ll be prompted to enter a name and description for your Style, as well as decide whether it should be visible to everyone in your organization or made public.
Congratulations! You’ve just published your first Figma Style!
Now that you know how to publish a Style in Figma, why not try creating one yourself? Styles are a great way to keep your designs consistent and save time when making changes.
