In order to redirect your http traffic to https, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Navigate to cPanel > Hosting > SSL and click the “Edit” button next to the “Site Balancing” section.

2. In the “SSL Configuration” window, under the “Sites” tab, click on the “Redirect HTTP to HTTPS” button.

3. In the “Redirect HTTP to HTTPS” window, enter the following information:

Server: your-server.com

Port: 443

4. Click on the “Apply” button.

5. Click on the “Close” button in the “SSL Configuration” window.

6. You can now test your redirect by visiting your-server.

com in your browser. If the site is displaying correctly in HTTPS, then the redirect is working correctly.

PRO TIP: If you are using Hostgator cPanel to manage your website, it is important to be aware that there is no built-in way to redirect http to https. This means that if your website is accessible via both http and https, any visitor who accesses your site using http will not be automatically redirected to the https version. This could cause problems with your website’s security, as well as create confusion for visitors. To avoid these issues, you should either use a plugin or script to redirect http to https, or make sure that your website is only accessible via https.

7. To permanently redirect your http traffic to https, you will need to add the following line to your cPanel Hosting account’s “General” settings:.
