There are a few ways to reduce the size of an image without losing quality in Photoshop. One way is to use the “Save for Web” feature.
This can be found under the “File” menu, and then selecting “Save for Web.” Another way is to use the “Export” feature, which can be found under the “File” menu, and then selecting “Export.”
The “Save for Web” feature is best used for JPEG images, while the “Export” feature is best used for PNG images. If you need to resize an image that is already in a different format, you can first convert it to either a JPEG or a PNG. To do this, open the image in Photoshop and go to the “Image” menu. Select “Image Size.”
In the window that opens up, make sure that the “Constrain Proportions” and “Resample Image” options are selected. Then, choose either JPEG or PNG from the drop-down menu next to “Format.” Finally, click “OK.”
When using either the “Save for Web” or “Export” feature, you will be given a number of options to choose from. For JPEG images, you can choose the quality level. The higher the quality, the larger the file size will be.
For PNG images, you can choose between two compression methods: lossless or lossy. Lossless compression will result in a larger file size but no loss of quality, while lossy compression will result in a smaller file size but some loss of quality. Choose whichever option is best for your needs.
Once you’ve selected your options and clicked “OK,” your image will be saved at the new size.
