There are a few different ways that you can remove the background from hair in Photoshop. One way is to use the pen tool to create a path around the hair, and then use the “Refine Edge” tool to clean up the edges.

Another way is to use the “Select and Mask” tool, which is new in Photoshop CC 2015.5. You can also use the Quick Selection tool or the Magic Wand tool to select the hair, and then use the “Refine Edge” tool to clean up the edges.

If you want to keep the background but just make it lighter or darker, you can use the “ levels” or “ curves” adjustment layers. Or you can use the “ exposure” adjustment layer. If you want to completely remove the background, you can use the “ eraser” tool or the “ background eraser” tool.

The “pen” tool is probably the most accurate way to remove a background from hair.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that there are many tutorials online that claim to show you how to remove background from hair in Photoshop. However, many of these tutorials are outdated or use methods that can damage your image. If you are not careful, you could end up with a poor quality image or one that has been permanently altered.

If you are not confident with this method, another option is to use one of Photoshop’s selection tools (the “Quick Selection” or “Magic Wand” tool), and then clean up the edges with the “Refine Edge” tool.

Once you have made your selection, go to “Edit > Fill” and choose “Content-Aware Fill”. This will attempt to fill in your selection with content from around your image.

If you are still not happy with the result, you can try using a different method of removing your background, or you can simply “Edit > Undo” and start again.

In conclusion, there are a few different ways that you can remove backgrounds from hair in Photoshop. The most accurate way is probably using the pen tool, but if you’re not confident with that method, then you can try using one of Photoshop’s selection tools instead.
