As a freelancer, you’re probably always on the lookout for new and interesting projects to work on. And when you find a project that you’re interested in, you probably want to get started right away. But before you can start working on a project, you need to request payment from the client.

Requesting payment on UpWork is easy! Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Log into your UpWork account and go to the My Jobs tab.

Step 2: Find the job that you want to request payment for and click on the More actions button.

Step 3: Select Request Payment from the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Enter the amount that you want to request and click Submit.

That’s it! Once the client approves your request, the funds will be deposited into your account and you can start working on the project.

If you’re a freelancer, then requesting payments is probably something that you have to do frequently. And while it might seem like a hassle, it’s actually quite easy to do. Just follow the steps above and you’ll be able to receive payments for your work in no time!

PRO TIP: If you are requesting payment on Upwork, please be aware that there are fees associated with this service. Upwork charges a 3% processing fee for each invoiced amount, plus a $0.30 transaction fee. Please be sure to factor these fees into your request for payment.
