How Do I Reset WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:48 pm

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, there may come a time when you need to reset it. Maybe you’re changing your hosting provider, or you want to start over with a fresh installation.

Whatever the reason, resetting your store is a relatively easy process. In this article, we’ll show you how to reset WooCommerce in two different ways.

Method 1: Resetting WooCommerce Using the WordPress Dashboard

The first method is the simplest way to reset your store. You can do this directly from the WordPress dashboard by going to Tools > WooCommerce > Reset.

On the reset screen, you’ll see a list of all the data that will be deleted. This includes products, orders, users, and settings. Simply check the box next to each item you want to delete and click on the Reset Data button.

Method 2: Resetting WooCommerce Using a Plugin

If you don’t want to delete all of your data, or if you want a more granular control over what’s being reset, then you can use a plugin like WP Reset. This plugin allows you to selectively delete data, as well asreset your entire database with one click. To use this plugin, simply install and activate it on your site. Once activated, go to Tools > WP Reset.

Conclusion

In this article, we’ve shown you two different ways to reset WooCommerce. If you’re changing hosts or starting over from scratch, we recommend using the first method. However, if you want more control over what’s being reset, then WP Reset is a good option.

PRO TIP: If you are considering resetting your WooCommerce store, please be aware that this will delete all products, pages, posts, settings, and media from your site. This cannot be undone. Please backup your site before proceeding.
