If you’re running a WooCommerce store on your WordPress site, there may come a time when you need to reset it. Whether you’re starting fresh with a new product line or troubleshooting an issue, resetting your store is a good way to start over.

In this article, we’ll show you how to reset WooCommerce in WordPress.

Why Would I Need to Reset My WooCommerce Store?

There are a few reasons why you might need to reset your WooCommerce store. Maybe you’re starting fresh with a new product line and need to clear out the old products and orders.

Or maybe you’re troubleshooting an issue and need to start from a clean slate. Whatever the reason, resetting your store is a good way to start over.

How to Reset WooCommerce

There are two ways to reset WooCommerce in WordPress: using the Reset Tools extension or by manually resetting the database. We’ll walk you through both methods below.

Method 1: Resetting WooCommerce Using the Reset Tools Extension

The first method is by far the easiest way to reset your WooCommerce store. You can do it with just a few clicks using the Reset Tools extension. This extension adds a tools page to your WordPress admin area where you can easily reset various parts of your site, including WooCommerce.

To use this method, first, you need to install and activate the Reset Tools extension. For more details, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Once the plugin is activated, go to Tools » Reset Tools and click on the ‘Reset all stores’ button under the ‘WooCommerce’ section.

Method 2: Manually Resetting Your Database

The second method for resetting your WooCommerce store is by manually resetting your database.

This method is a bit more technical and requires access to your server via FTP or SSH.

To get started, connect to your server using FTP or SSH and navigate to the /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/uninstall.php file.
Once you have located that file, open it in a text editor and change the $leave_tables variable from true to false.

Next, save your changes and upload the file back to your server.

Now that you have made that change, go to http://example .com/?wc_uninstall=true < span style = " font - weight : 400 ; " > in your browser . This will trigger the uninstall process , which will delete all of your < span class = " WooCommerce - no - js " onclick = " var t = document . getElementById ( ' wc - uninstall - warning ' ); if ( t ) { t . className = t . className . replace ( / hide $/, '' ); } return false ; " > < input id = " wc - uninstall - warning - checkbox " type = " checkbox " name = "" value = "" disabled /> I understand that this will delete ALL data from my database including products , orders , etc . < input type = " submit " class = " button button - primary WooCommerce - js wc - uninstall - warning__button wc - uninstall__button--proceed hide " value = " Proceed with Uninstallation » " disabled />
