How Do I Resize a Banner Image in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:25 am

Resizing a banner image in Squarespace is a simple process that can be done in a few steps. First, open the page or post where you want to change the banner image. Then, click on the “Change Image” icon in the upper right-hand corner of the image.

A pop-up window will appear where you can select a new image from your computer. Once you have chosen your new image, click on the “Open” button. The image will now appear in the banner.

To change the size of the image, click on the “Change Size” icon next to the “Change Image” icon. A pop-up window will appear with three options for resizing your banner image: “Small,” “Medium,” and “Large.”

PRO TIP: If you are using the Squarespace platform to create a banner image for your website, be aware that there is no option to resize the image. Once you have uploaded your banner image, it will remain the same size. If you need to resize your banner image, you will need to use an external image editing program.

Choose the option that best fits your needs and click on the “Apply” button. Your new banner image will now be resized.

If you need to further edit your banner image, such as cropping or adding text, you can do so by clicking on the “Edit” icon next to the “Change Size” icon. This will open up a new window with all of the editing options available.

Once you have finished editing your banner image, click on the “Save” button in the upper right-hand corner of the window. Your changes will now be saved and applied to your banner image.
