How Do I Resize a Group in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:59 am

Figma is a vector graphics editor that is gaining popularity among designers. One of its features that sets it apart from other editors is its ability to resize groups of objects. This can be done by selecting the group and then clicking on the “Resize” button in the top toolbar.

There are two ways to resize a group in Figma: by changing the width and height values manually, or by using the “Scale” slider. To change the width and height values manually, simply click on the value and type in the new value. The “Scale” slider can be used to resize the group proportionally.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when resizing a group in Figma, you could end up with some unwanted results. Make sure to pay attention to the size and position of your objects within the group before you resize it, as they may not stay in the same place relative to each other.

Once you’ve resized the group, you can also reposition it by clicking on the “Move” button in the top toolbar. This will allow you to drag the group to a new location.

When you’re finished, don’t forget to save your work by clicking on the “File” menu and then selecting “Save.”
