How Do I Resize a Video in Photoshop?

Last updated on April 17, 2023 @ 7:48 am

There is one simple way to resize a video in Photoshop. That is to use the Render Video window under the Export menu. Here’s how:

To get started, first, open your video in Photoshop.

With your video open in Photoshop, simply go to ‘File’ > ‘Export’ > ‘Render Video’ to open the Render Video window.

In the Render Video window, open the Preset options by clicking on the drop-down box.

Here, you will see various sizes that you can resize your video into. You can select your preferred size from the options available.

Once you have selected your preferred preset size, this will be automatically reflected in the Size field. Another option that you have to resize your video is to manually input the frame dimensions in this section. Once done, just click on the “Render” button and that’s it!

NOTE: If a notification says that your video file cannot be rendered, the current file format of your video may not be compatible. Another possible reason for this error message is that your computer’s hardware or software may not meet the minimum system requirements for editing videos in Photoshop.

This method should work for resizing both still images and videos in Photoshop. If you have any trouble, feel free to reach out for help from a friend or professional.

PRO TIP: When trying to resize a video in Photoshop, it is important to keep in mind that this will only work properly if the video is already in the correct proportions. Otherwise, the image will be distorted. Additionally, it is also important to make sure that the resolution is set correctly before attempting to resize the video, as this can also cause issues.
