In many cases, you might want to offer products that can only be purchased in certain quantities. For example, you might sell tickets to an event, and each customer can only purchase up to 10 tickets. In this case, you can use the WooCommerce built-in feature to restrict the quantity field to selected numbers.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Log into your WordPress admin panel and go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products. Make sure that the “Enable stock management” checkbox is ticked.
  2. Next, go to WooCommerce > Products. Select the product that you want to restrict the quantity for and click “Edit”.
  3. On the “Inventory” tab, scroll down to the “Stock management at product level” section. Here, you’ll see the “Stock status” option.

Select the “Out of stock” option from the dropdown menu.

  4. Now scroll down to the “Stock quantity” field and enter the maximum number of items that a customer can purchase in this field. In our example, we’ve entered 10.
  5. Click “Update”. That’s it! Now customers will only be able to purchase up to the specified number of items for this product.

As you can see, it’s quite easy to restrict the quantity field to selected numbers in WooCommerce. This can be a useful feature if you want to offer products that can only be purchased in certain quantities.

PRO TIP: If you are using the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress, you may want to restrict the quantity field to certain numbers. For example, you may want to limit the quantity to 2, 4, or 6.

To do this, you will need to add a few lines of code to your WordPress theme. If you are not comfortable doing this, please contact a developer or ask for help on a support forum.

Adding this code to your theme could break your site if not done correctly. Please backup your site before adding any code.
