When you’re done creating your masterpiece in Canva, simply click on the download button in the top right hand corner. You’ll be given the choice to download your design as a JPEG, PNG or PDF.

For best results, we recommend downloading as a PDF. This format ensures your design maintains its quality when saved at any size.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to save a Canva file as a template, please be aware that doing so may result in the loss of some data. In particular, any changes that you have made to the file since the last time it was saved will not be saved as part of the template. Therefore, please make sure that you have saved all changes to the file before proceeding.

To save your design as a template, select “Download as PDF” from the dropdown menu. When the download window pops up, select “Save as Template” from the dropdown menu in the bottom left hand corner. Your design will be saved as a high-resolution PDF file which you can access anytime from your Canva account by going to the “All your designs” tab and selecting “Templates” from the dropdown menu.
