How Do I Save a Photoshop File as a JPEG?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 10:15 pm

Saving a Photoshop file as a JPEG is a pretty simple process. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open the file you want to save as a JPEG in Photoshop.

2. Go to File > Save As.

3. In the dialog box that opens, select JPEG from the Format drop-down menu.

4. Enter a name for the file in the File Name field and click Save.

5. In the JPEG Options dialog box that opens, you can choose to adjust the quality of the image by selecting a lower Quality setting.

You can also change the Color Profile if you need to. When you’re done, click OK.

PRO TIP: This article provides instructions on how to save a Photoshop file as a JPEG, but it is important to note that JPEG files are lossy, meaning that they will lose some quality each time they are saved. For this reason, it is important to only save a JPEG file if you plan on further editing or printing the image, as the quality will continue to degrade each time the file is saved.

And that’s it! The file will now be saved as a JPEG with the settings you selected.
