How Do I Select and Move in Photoshop?

There are a few things to consider when selecting and moving objects in Photoshop. First, you need to decide which tool to use.

The Move Tool is the most basic and commonly used tool for moving objects around in Photoshop. However, there are other options available, such as the Selection Tool, Free Transform Tool, and Rotate Tool.

PRO TIP: This article is a guide on how to select and move in Photoshop. It is important to note that when you are making a selection, you should always use the Marquee tool and not the Lasso tool. The Lasso tool can cause your selection to be inaccurate.

Once you’ve selected the appropriate tool, you can then click and drag the object to the desired location. If you’re using the Move Tool, you can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to nudge the object in small increments.

When you’re happy with the placement of the object, you can let go of the mouse button or release the arrow keys. The object will then remain in its new location.
