How Do I Send a Direct Contract on UpWork?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:47 pm

As a freelancer on UpWork, you have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top businesses. When you find a job that you’re interested in, you can submit a proposal to the client. If your proposal is accepted, the client will send you a contract.

You can view your contracts in the “My Jobs” tab. To view a specific contract, click on the contract name.

PRO TIP: If you are considering sending a direct contract on Upwork, be warned that this is a risky move. Although it may seem like a good way to get around the fees charged by Upwork, it can actually end up costing you more in the long run. This is because if something goes wrong with the project, you will have no recourse through Upwork and will have to deal with the client directly. This could end up costing you time and money, so it is best to avoid this option if possible.

Once you’re ready to start work on a contract, click the “Start work” button. This will let the client know that you’re ready to begin working on the project.

If you have any questions about a contract, or if you need to make any changes to it, you can always contact the client directly through UpWork.
