Wix is a cloud-based development platform that allows users to create HTML5 websites and mobile sites through the use of online drag and drop tools. Wix is free to use, but it also offers paid plans with additional features and services.

One of the key features of Wix is the ability to add ecommerce functionality to your website. This means that you can sell products and services through your Wix website. In order to do this, you will need to set up sales tax on your Wix account.

Sales tax is a percentage of the sale price that is added on to the cost of the product or service. The sales tax rate varies from country to country, and even from state to state.

PRO TIP: When setting up sales tax on Wix, be sure to correctly configure your tax settings and rates. Incorrectly configured tax settings can result in over- or under-charging your customers, which can lead to customer dissatisfaction and financial loss.

In the United States, the sales tax rate ranges from 0% to 10%. When you set up sales tax on your Wix account, you will need to specify the sales tax rate that applies to your products or services.

To set up sales tax on your Wix account, log in to your account and go to the ‘Settings’ tab. Under ‘General Settings’, click on ‘Taxes’.

On the ‘Taxes’ page, you will see an option to enable sales tax. Select the ‘Enable Sales Tax’ option and enter the applicable sales tax rate. Once you have entered the sales tax rate, click on the ‘Save’ button to save your changes.

Now that you have enabled sales tax on your Wix account, any products or services that you sell through your website will have the applicable sales tax added on at checkout. This will ensure that you are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations regarding sales tax.
