WooCommerce is one of the most popular eCommerce platforms on the web. If you’re thinking of setting up an online store, WooCommerce is a great option.
In this article, we’ll show you how to set up a WooCommerce website.
Before we get started, there are a few things you’ll need to have in order to set up a WooCommerce website:
- A domain name
- A web hosting account
- A SSL certificate (optional)
Once you have those things, you can follow the steps below to set up your WooCommerce website.
1. Install WordPress
The first thing you need to do is install WordPress.
WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin, so you’ll need WordPress installed on your server before you can install WooCommerce.

2. Install the WooCommerce Plugin
Once you have WordPress installed, the next step is to install the WooCommerce plugin. You can do this from your WordPress dashboard by going to Plugins > Add New and searching for “WooCommerce”.
- PayPal: If you want to use PayPal as your payment gateway, all you need to do is enter your PayPal email address in the settings.
- Bank Transfer: If you want to use bank transfer as your payment gateway, you’ll need to enter your bank account details in the settings.
- Other Payment Methods: In addition to PayPal and bank transfer, there are other payment methods available for WooCommerce. To see a full list of available payment methods, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout.
By default, WooCommerce calculates shipping based on weight and location. However, there are other shipping options available, such as flat rate shipping. To configure your shipping settings, go to WooComerce > Settings > Shipping. From there, you can add your shipping zones and rates.
To configure your tax settings, go to WooComerce > Settings > Taxes. From there, you can add your tax rates and configure your tax options.
